We are two Mediterranean women inspired by the waters around us and the myths and history they carry - immersed in literature and its healing ways - creating a community for communion and connection with self and other.
Bibliomuses is a story space for healing.
Rooted in the ancient power of myth and the practice of bibliotherapy, we invite you to explore stories not as escape, but as a mirror, a map, and a muse.
Join The Muse Awakening
The muses tap into an ancient truth, one that implies that we can exist and be transformed by the various landscapes that surround us and which we inhabit.
They are external forms of inspiration, and yet they are also within us. They are each devoted to one area of study or focus, and yet we do not have to know these to recognise that each resonates with our own lives and with one another. They are connected, we are connected. They are both muse and mother to us, sister and daughter - let us listen to their stories, their guidance.
In the 10 day journey, and later in the 10 week journey we will delve into the stories of each of the muses:
What they have to teach us through their stories and myths; the symbols that are essential to their being and transformation; how art and culture has represented them over the years, and how this has influenced our perception of them; and most importantly how they are, because of all this and more, so relevant to our own lives.
Through these journeys you’ll gain a better understanding of yourself and your inner & outer voice; the importance of maintaining a creative practice and how to do so with the muses as guides; the appreciation of how story lives within you - how it is not separate from our lives yet the thread which connects and weaves us together; and ultimately we hope also to instill a sense of peace in coming home to yourself.
Take 3-5 drops up to 3 times per day. Create a moment of ritual while you add the flower essence to your drinking water or take it directly on your tongue.
Bonus uses: on your skin, in your bath water, on your altar, in your art projects (like the water of your watercolors or in your clay), in a facial steam. Get creative and have fun!
